CA Foundation is the first level to become a CA in India and the objective of this course is to understand the basic concepts of accounting.
CA Foundation is earlier known as CPT but after the effect from June 2017 CPT changed with CA foundation.

To enter this level first students have to register themselves for this level and after this, you will get 4 months of the study period for preparation.

CA Foundation Course Eligibility Criteria 2019
After clearing 12th std/during 12th std All stream students can apply for registration for CA Foundation course. Students who have passed 12th std with commerce get a advantage because the syllabus of CA foundation is much similar to your 12th std.
To apply for CA foundation students need clear 12th std with 50 % (for arts and science students- 60%).
If you are graduate or postgraduate them you can directly apply for CA intermediate level through direct entry scheme.
ICAI CA Foundation Registration Online Procedure 2019
The Registration process is given below
- Go to the official website of ICAI – ICAI.org
- Click on Student tab > course registration column
- Click on New user (if you have already created a login id then log in with your old user name and password)
- Fill basic details like your Name, Gender, Age, DOB, Phone number, Adhar card number, Email id, and password
- Click on submit
- Now you will get a OTP on your number
- Enter OTP and then submit
Now your details are verified, after this login using your user name and password and
- Fill pending details
- Thereafter you need to pay CA Foundation course registration fees
- You can make a payment using Visa, Mater, Rupay, Maestro, Debit card and Online banking.
- After this, a PDF file will generate on your screen and you have to download this in your device
- Now printout this PDF file and affix your colored photograph and signature on it
- Now you have to send it to the regional office center within 7 days with required Documents
After doing this process you will get a registration certificate within 30 days.
Documents Required for CA Foundation Registration 2019
You need to submit the following documents to the regional office center
- Dully signed a printout of registration form
- One colored photograph
- Attested copy of 12th class marksheet/admit card issued by the respective board
- Attested copy of 10th class marksheet, including name and date of birth
- If the student is foreigner then he has to submit a attested copy of a proof of nationality
- Attested copy of special catagory certificate i.e. SC, ST, OBC
